Garlic Shrimp

Legendary Giovanni's White Shrimp Truck Shrimp

I’ve had this shrimp from a Giovanni’s shrimp truck during a recent trip to Oahu and must admit there isn’t a better garlic butter shrimp that I have ever had and so I was real happy to run across the recipe on herdaily.com web site. Visit the web site at http://www.herdaily.com/recipes/8958/garlic-shrimp-recipe.html . There you will find a clip of Chef Jason Hill showing how easy it is to prepare this recipe of garlic shrimp. I prepared the recipe show in the picture. Each serving of 10 shrimp has to be made separately from start to finish using a large skillet that will allow 10 shrimp to cook at one time.

Ingredients:

  • 10 shell on U 15 shrimp, if you want a real authentic wine style don't substitute it with any other quality of shrimp.
  • 1 head garlic, about 10 cloves, chopped
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup Clarified butter
  • Kosher or sea salt
  • 1/8 cup White wine
Preparation:

Make the spicy flour mix (flour, paprika, cayenne pepper).

To sauté your shrimp, dust them with flour mix.

Heat your pan on high flame for about 2 minutes and add ½ cup of clarified butter to sauté your garlic.

Cook your garlic for a minute, what a flavor!

Add your shrimp and sprinkle kosher or sea salt. That aroma will really drive your taste buds crazy!

Cook your shrimp for 3-4 minutes and change the side and keep them for 3 more minutes.

Before finishing add 1/8 cup of white wine. And add 2 more spoon of butter.

Don't overcook your garlic.

Now enjoy your exotic garlic shrimp with rice.
